1ST & 2ND GRADE IN-HOUSE PROGRAM
The goal of our in-house league for 1st and 2nd graders is to develop fundamental skills, a sense of game concepts, and, most importantly, a love of the game. We seek a very high coach-to-player ratio, so kids get individual attention. In our in-house league, we introduce the boys to the heart of our program where players take on more advanced game-focused skills and drills (with fun games as part of the mix) and about half-way thru the season they are divided evenly by ability and play games that will be both instructive and competitive. Our in-house league participants don full equipment for the first time. We do our best to limit any contact at this level as the focus is on skill development and game awareness. For those 1st graders who may not be ready for full gear and the chance of any contact, we do allow them to move to our Mini-laxers program. First graders often move between programs and we make sure that the mini-laxers and the in-house leagues practice at the same time and place to facilitate this movement.
Usually, the season starts on March 28th and ends on May 30th with twice a week practices and scrimmages: Saturday’s 11:00-12:30 pm., Sunday's 4:00-5:30 pm
Cost: $225. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Contact Jessica Freeman with any questions about registration: firstname.lastname@example.org. All players must be registered with US Lacrosse which is part of our registration process.
